If I linger in life’s valley
Past the growing eventide
Should my steps get slow and weary
And pain get hard to hide
Keep me in Your presence Jesus
And draw me closer to Your side
Comfort, strengthen, if I’m feeble
- And keep my outlook ever bright!

If I linger in life’s valley
Past my appointed time
Make me Your silent canvas
Paint Your Word inside my mind
Teach me Your perfect wisdom
To do Your will at all times
Teaching men, in turn, to love You
- Our only source of joy divine!
