Fortunate Failures
Freedom comes from wealth, - so the world would say
And if you have enough, your troubles fade away
But Jesus never fit into that narrow-minded clan
For He's always known, - what really makes the man!
It isn’t gold or power that brings real happiness
For it's seldom found, in financial success
Still life grows a few select, special souls
They’re her fortunate failures, - that no one wants to know!
Some had success, ‘till they threw it all away
To gain a servant’s life, - and ignoble grave
For when we see with God’s eyes, we see with clarity
That the richest among us, are servants of charity!
The Apostle Paul, - was one God set before us all
And he held a high rank, ‘till he took a fall
But all he had before, he counted but dung
When he met The Master, - shining like the sun!
So be wary of the wealth that the masses crave
Be careful how you spend, your precious earthly days
Hold the hand of Christ, - no matter what men tell you
And maybe He'll make you one of His, - fortunate failures!
