WHEN THE LAST PAGE IS WRITTEN
When the last page is written
And I make my "curtain-call"
Standing before The Saviour
The One who gave His, - All
Will my Spirit tremble
With the fear beyond all fears?
Or will it beat with anticipation
That heaven is so near?
When the last page is written
And earth's but a speck of sand
So distant, far behind "the present"
And the Great "I AM"
Will Jesus wear a smile?
And say to me "Well Done!"
Or frown with indignation
When my "faith account" reads:
"None."
So I thank Him I'm alive
And that I'm breathing still
That I can read His Book
And learn to do His will
Will you my friend, - the same?
Shall we heed this warning given?
Before our "ink" runs out
- When the last page is written.
