I SAW LAZARUS ON TV

I saw Lazarus on TV
As hungry eyes stared at me
He stood alone on woobly knees
Yes, I saw Lazarus on TV
Sometimes I see him in my dreams
Or when I'm feasting like a king
And his swollen belly makes me sad
As I consume what he should have
So I pray that when I've breathed my last
I won't regret my careless past
And see him in heaven faring well
While I thirst and cry in flames of hell!
